Preferred solution: They should pay for the damage they did to the truck and give my mom compensation because she could have had an accident.

Bad service drug and gang members

Found a bag of drugs in my car, and criminals are able to work there as well. The service was not done professionally and the work was lazy. My tire popped off on the freeway and they towed my car back, only for it to not drive properly.

Complaint - supervisor

Todd Pederson attempted to kill me and my daughter I believe by intentionally not disclosing severe safety concerns with a vehicle. We have been taking our vehicles to break masters for approximately two years.

I have always had great customer service from the store managers, as well as all of the technicians. They have always been amazing.

This complaint is different and directly reflects on the territory supervisor, Todd Pederson, who overseas several of the Phoenix area brake masters stores. When I asked Todd for the contact information for corporate and his boss, to report this he refused and began to threaten me. He threatened to put my daughter and I in severe danger and in jeopardy for our lives.

He was adamant to shut me up.

I believe Todd knowingly intended to not disclose the safety issues and wanted something horrific to happen to me. I believe he had a hidden agenda to avoid medical costs he owes me, his work finding out or his wife finding out what hes been doing and how hes treated me.

Todd as an employee has been using Company time to rent hotel rooms during the day/daily rates to take females and have rendezvous while hes on the clock working and checking with his store managers, technicians, and his own boss.

Out of one of these, rendezvous, Todd injured me severely while he was on the clock as he got physically and sexually aggressive with me. Todd agreed to take care of some of these medical costs associated with this, and the ongoing portions of it, but he continued to push the debt under the rug for the past several months. Leaving it all on me.

When confronted with a heart-to-heart about the safety concerns and the need for my files with the mechanic shop on both of our vehicles, (the past few days) he has refused to speak calmly and resolve the issues and he went further to hold our vehicles (2) files hostage.

I need a resolution for safety when our cars are brought in. The safety and trust issues solely relate to Todd Pederson not the remaining employees or managers.

Todd has threatened he wont cover the medical if I tell the truth and he will harm my daughter and I through other means. I obtained a protection order today for safety. I had to explain to the judge how terrified I was when I learned from the other shop two days later that my daughter and I were at risk of our lives on the road and were never warned or told.

All of this goes hand-in-hand with him not covering any of the medical costs up until yesterday when he sent $250 to cover one appointment this week.

Two days after brake masters/Todd had my vehicle for over a week.Discount tires manager took photos on his own phone to show me the severity of the safety concern. He even spoke to Todd. When trying to discuss this with Todd, he became irate, angry and argumentative. He did however cover the costs out of his own pocket while severely disbarring and abusing me.

To date a conflict resolution communication has not been successful.

The protection order, safety measures/planning, and contacting corporate for brake masters, and my storage he also holds hostage is the recommendations I feel the judge gave me today. To deal with others and the entities rather than deal with Todd.

I would like to find resolution for my vehicles and all of their history and paperwork.

I would like a safe place to take my vehicles and not have to fear for my life. I would also like somebody to process this with, I would like an investigation, I would like to find out who is responsible for my injury by Todd while on the clock and working for Brake Masters.

Service done on my vehicle

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I recently got approval from the state of Arizona to have my vehicle serviced. It began to leak some type of fluid about a week after it was serviced.

I noticed this on my carport and started to perceive a burning smell. I took my vehicle back to the mechanics where they informed me that there was a powerline to my power steering that needed removal and replacement. They expected me to pay another $265. Mind you, this piece they wanted to replace was literally not even a centimeter away from the previous one.

I am currently in a dispute with the Better Business Bureau as well as the company to see what they can do about this. I had my vehicle examined by another company and they found two lines that were leaking. Additionally, I needed my stats completed.

None of the work that was being done was completed the way that it should have been. My vehicle is now running terribly and I would not advise anybody to take their vehicle to Brake Masters, unfortunately.

FRONT END ALIGHLMENT NEEDED ?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I Took My Chevy Silverado Truck in for an Oil Change ,Tire Rotation, I go online and use the Coupons offered, Saves me some $,,, I made an Appointment, I got there a bit early, (No Traffic), And they got me right in, I had the oil changed and the tires rotated ,,,No Problem, They checked the Brakes and said they were OK at about 50 % left on the Pads, But my Brake Fluid was a bit Low...They said they would ''Top it Off'' for Free,,,Great., Then I was Informed I needed an Alignment, They offered me a Coupon with a $ 20 Discount, So I agreed to have it done...Got the Truck Back , Paid in Full and needed to drive about 25 miles to pick up My Trailer, As I was going on a Business / Pleasure Trip about 250 miles from here. As I drove on the Interstate, I Noticed the Truck was Drifting very badly to the Left,,,I had to fight the steering to get back on the Highway, Then I also noticed the steering wheel was about 5 Degrees (Or More) Off to the left.

The Chevy Insignia Label on the steering wheel was WAY OFF, I called them and they said to bring it back,,,Ughhhh !

I Immediately turned around and Bought it back, They got me right in , No Problem, ,,,After about 20 minutes , I took it for a test drive, I noticed the steering wheel was off , About 2-3 degrees to the right ,,I took it back a second time, I was told everything was OK, He had me look at the tires and the position on the Steering wheel, The Manager and I took it for a test drive, He Insisted all was OK, I took the truck on my trip, The Alignment seems pretty good, BUT the steering wheel is STILL off a few degrees to the right !, I know if I bring it back a Third time, They're just gonna tell me , It;s all fine...BUT IT ISN'T. I feel the Job wan not done correctly and would like to speak tp Corporate,,,Trouble is...They DO NOT Return Phone Calls, I called 5 days ago...and No one answers , And No call Back.

Thousand Oaks BM

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Not using them anymore do to my final service never being corrected properly (Thousand Oaks on my Lincoln MKZ). This was after I suspended going to Simi Valley Brake Masters as the service writer didn't understand lowering overhead by accepting my willingness to pay for the service of changing out my electric vacuum pump for my A/C.

BTW, this was the fix for my A/C and not the mixer as he wanted me to do to my 2002 Excursion. Sad. I really liked dealing with Juan, but Josh was a whole other story.

I really liked dealing with Donald in Thousand Oaks, but the new crew is really lousy. Maybe Israel from Brake Master will call me if he has any questions.

They had my car for a whole month and left me scrounging for rides and then $800 for a car rental all because of an alternator. A mini Cooper does not take reman alternators.Replaced 2 batteries

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Contains 1 confidential file for company representatives

Replacing alternator for the 4th time. Now by the dealership.

BM USED REMAN ALTERNATORS . I also have had three batteries in about 2 months. BM had my car for a month. Basically left me stranded until I had to rent a car that cost me $800.

The manager went on vacation and front desk said she knew nothing. They used my warranty, now I have to pay out of my pocket over $2100 to get a new alternator, by the dealership the correct way. Im not allowed to use my warranty( I paid over $1500 for) for it since brake masters used it and the job was not done. I would think by the 3rd week, you would know and if you dont have the tools to fix a mini Cooper!

Then dont touch the car. I was given excuses. I was also told that they had a problem calculating the alternator. From my understanding, you do not calculate an alternator.

Its just an alternator- you do, however have to calculate the battery in a mini. I took it to auto House as I was requested to do by the dealership and they gave me a print out which John, the manager of B. Masters didnt bother to call him. He said he was waiting for Auto House to call them Its not Auto Houses problem, Its Brake Masters problem since theyre the ones getting paid.

I have lost a lot of time at work and its put my job in Jeopardy since I work with special needs.

Its very important for me to be there. I need to know what can be done about this.

Nickel and diming to death

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I use the brakemasters in downtown santa fe, nm. This visit I find that the manager Marshall no longer works there, there are 2 people sitting behind the counter not really motivated to wait on me.

I brought my 2002 econoline conversion van in to have the passenger power window fixed. First, they want to charge me $140.00 diagnostic fee which I have never had to do before with other power windows being inoperable. Now I get a call that they want to charge me extra to clean the adhesive residue off of the window that was left behind from the duct tape that had to be used to keep the window up during our trip back from colorado!

I have a long history with this shop, I owned the truck that slid off of the lift and was totalled by your insurance company. If this is the way you conducting business now, I will be taking my 5 vehicles somewhere else for all of the service needs.

Great Service second time around from Corey and Sal at BrakeMasters #115 Albuquerque

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Our Audi started making a noise while braking after having brakes repaired previously.

We had it checked at the closest garage and they said we needed ball joints. They were replaced.

When we left the car was banging and pulling.

Immediately took it to Corey and Sal. They determined there were loose bolts and a motor mount leak.

They got our Audi in right away!

The Audi is now perfect and I once again cant thank Corey and Sal for outstanding professionalism and as efficient service as you would ever expect!

Simply outstanding guys and can do attitudes! Than you!

Service related issues

Updated by user Sep 28, 2023

I haven't had any resolution from the company, no one has contacted me back about this, they won't return my phone calls, and I've not yet found any business local to me in Colorado who can check on the work Brake Masters did on my truck in Arizona.

Original review Aug 29, 2023

I've not received any response from this company whatsoever - no return phone call, no email response, no response at all to my concerns.

User's recommendation: If you're not going to be in their local area, don't get work done here as they will not lend you any support for the work they have completed if you are not in their local area. If you can go to a location, you might be okay. Just know that you will most likely end up going back after they have completed your repairs/maintenance.

Customer complaint

I visited your store in El Paso Texas this morning ( may 20, 2023 @ 7:30am) the address of the store is 12204 Eastlake El Paso Texas 79928.

I went in for a simple oil change and was greeted by an extremely rude employee by the name of Robert Cantù, whom is an assistant manager. I was about to explain to him about a past oil change that I did, at another Brake Masters, and was abruptly interrupted by Mr Cantu by stating, ok so whats your question then?

I felt as though I was being rushed and that my service there was not appreciated. I was then able to continue on with my question, but I knew that I had made a mistake for going to that location. My first instinct was to leave. But I decided to stay, due to the fact that I had just gotten out of work and I was to exhausted to drive around finding another place.

All in all, my oil change was done.

Not once did I feel welcomed. Yet other customers were being treated fairly compared to the way I was treated. This coming from an assistant manager is uncalled for. I will certainly not ever go back to that shop plus I will not ever recommend anyone to go there.

Horrible, horrible customer service.

I always thought that the customer came first. I surely wasnt.

Thank you for your time
