Very unprofessional

Went in for oil change. Got there when they opened the door, he never welcomed me in. When I went in, waited around 2-3 minutes, and he said, ( Well) told him I needed an oil change, and he asked me what oil I wanted. I asked him what do you recommend, it has around 100 thousand miles. He rolled his eyes at me and said, it's on the chart behind me. I will never go there again. I would rather go to Jiffy lube and pay double.

User's recommendation: Never.

Do$1500 worth of work. They put 10 quarts of oil in truck. Valvoline down the street drained out over 3 quarts. They also did not rotate the tires but did charge for it. Skip this place they are what is wrong with society. And the scammers Manager, Bo, said what you want me to do talk to you all day about it. Get over it. I am far from being over it, Bo! I will give you company $1500 worth of bad reviews and then some! Why? Because no one else needs to get scammed!!

Service related issues

I was quoted 790 dollars for brakes and rotors. When i arrived to pick up my car, they told me the price was 1100 dollars. They said they tried to reach me but could not. So they changed 2 pistons on my car without telling me, now I sm paying 300 dollars extra. If I was a man, this would NOT have happened.

Stay away! Far away!

I may be female, but I know my cars! I went in for a simple oil change which I usually do myself, but have an injured back and can't do it at the moment. They hoisted my car (2014 Chevy Equinox) saw something leaking and told me it was my water pump. Went in the next week to have it changed (took all day) and when I picked it up, they said the whine would eventually go away. 4 weeks later, I take it back and they said a bearing 'probably' went bad. The next week I take it back to have a new water pump put on under warranty and now there's a small whine WHICH is the tensioner. WHICH they should have taken care of when they changed the second water pump because it's part of it. NOW, they say I have a bad timing system. They want to charge me over $800 for that. It's bad enough I paid over $750 for the water pump. This was 11/11/2019, it is now 11/13/2019 and there is something leaking. 2 days? Really? I'm guessing either oil or transmission fluid. I am tired of them breaking something every time I go in there. I will NEVER step foot in that place ever again! Is this what you teach your techs? Break it to make them come back and overcharge them. Wtf

If the engine has used AMS OIL or another quality synthetic oil it can run quite a bit without oil.

#1793350

IF YOUR CAR IS "BONE DRY" ON OIL IT SURELY WOULD NOT HAVING DRIVEN ANY 500 MILES OR FOR THAT MATTER NOT EVEN 5 MILES BEFORE IT WOULD BE LOCKED UP SOUNDS LIKE A AD FOR WILHELM

Brake Masters broke radiator connector

I was doing preventative maintenance on my Toyota and went to store #108 for a radiator coolant flush. Technician came to me and showed my two pieces of hard plastic and said that when they took the hose off the radiator the connector broke and that I needed a new radiator. They charged me $382.15 for the new radiator and labor. There was nothing wrong with the radiator when I took my car in. The technician broke the connector. I do not feel that it is right that I have to pay for something they broke. I am asking to be reimbursed the $382.15. I feel they were trying to generate business and they knew I could not drive the car without a radiator. I feel that I've been had. Margarete Andrews 505-275-****. e-mail mnand@***.com

Resolved: $500 repair cost for damage done during oil change

Update by user Aug 21, 2019

They called within a few hours and were extremely helpful. The issue wasn’t theirs at all.

I was given erroneous info at the shop that was performing the current oil change. They were very kind and helpful through the few days of gaining resolution.

Update by user Aug 21, 2019

Not only did I get a quick response, the issue wasn’t with Brakemaster’s. The shop that was doing the current oil change evidently was hoping for an unnecessary repair item. I took it somewhere else and got oil change done with no problem.

Original review posted by user Aug 16, 2019
When Brakemaster’s changed my oil at the Buckeye, AZ shop, they tightened the plug so extremely that it can’t be removed and is most likely going to cost me $500 for a new oil pan. I was told to go to the nearest shop, which is a day’s drive from where we now live. I have called corporate office, but it went to voicemail. I will happily change this review if this can be settled satisfactorily.
